Bigger is Better in August’s Single Family Luxury Home Sales in Chicago

As the saying goes: “Go big or go home.” Luxury home buyers in August did both, as the top homes sold during the month each stretched over impressive square footage and lot sizes. The most expensive sale for August sits on not one, but three oversized city lots. It’s clear that home and lot size are a factor in setting properties apart for the high-end buyer in Chicago.

Another common denominator from August’s sales was the neighborhood. Lincoln Park has long been one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods, and luxury buyers definitely flock toward properties on some of the most prestigious streets: Burling, Kenmore, Howe. These blocks allow for large homes and wide lots that move quickly on the market.
