Chicago Luxury Home Sales on a Tear in June

The Chicago luxury home market hasn’t show signs of slowing down, and June was no exception. The month saw 75 closings on luxury single family homes (luxury defined as a closing price of $1 million or higher) for a total sales volume of $128 million. And for the ultra-luxury market (sales prices of at least $2 million), there were 14 sales. These healthy numbers shows that high-end buyers are certainly taking action of properties that stand out from the crowd.

The top five most expensive homes to sell certainly had stand-out qualities, whether a very large lot size, a stunning new build or a highly sought after location. For a closer look at the nuances that put these homes at the highest end of the luxury market, let’s see what each had to offer, starting with the most expensive:


48 E Cedar St
