Chicago's Lakeshore East neighborhood includes Millennium Park and the famed Aqua building.
highlighted the area’s best neighborhoods in its April issue, and while many Chicago suburbs made the list, I’m partial to the city itself when it comes to real estate in Chicago
. East Lakeshore, a newer neighborhood from within the last 10 years, and Roscoe village both made the cut for Chicago neighborhoods
that have it all. Lakeshore East
includes luxury real estate options like the new Aqua Tower
, which was named Skyscraper of the Year 2009. Aqua’s 82 stories include 718 Chicago condos
as well as apartments, and the building’s unique exterior architecture would make it a fine home for design buffs. Many of Aqua’s residences offer floor-to-ceiling views of the surrounding Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, downtown Chicago and the Chicago River. (You can’t see all that from the suburbs!)
Chicago Magazine also mentions Park at Lakeshore East as another highlight of this Chicago neighborhood
. The Park is simply a green space that breathes some air in between the many high rises, and offers a nice change in view from the surrounding buildings. Much of Chicago real estate
in the heart of the city still offers those slices of suburbia – whether it is tree-lined streets, sprawling greenbelts or the residential privacy you’d think you could only find in a suburban home. Along with high-rise buildings, Lakeshore East offers a number of options for real estate in Chicago
, including townhomes and ground-level properties.
Lakeshore East is also comfortably close to the glam of Michigan Avenue for shopping, restaurants and nightlife, plus nearby Millennium Park offers great options for music and outdoor activities. Roscoe Village
is a Chicago neighborhood
that offers something for everyone—from unique boutique shopping to streets perfect for stroller pushing, to luxury real estate
and make-yourself-at-home pubs and taverns. Plus, Roscoe Village has been around long enough to have well-surpassed becoming a trendy hotspot for Chicago real estate – this neighborhood has staying power. Many say the neighborhood is also a bit more calm and a bit less crowded compared to Lakeview
and Lincoln Park
, if you’re looking for a Chicago home
in an area with the perfect blend of urban and suburban.
Of course these neighborhoods have much to offer, but the best Chicago neighborhood
is always the one you like best. If you’d like to find a Chicago home that’s a perfect match for your lifestyle, contact agent Sheldon Salnick at (312) 498-5080 or by e-mail at email@example.com
