Are you ready for a new home? Start your search with Sheldon Salnick. If you make a home purchase of at least $500,000 by the end of the year, you’ll receive a check for $2,500 upon closing the sale.
Aside from the purchase itself, there are a number of costs associated with buying a new home. There are a number of ways a bit of extra money can be put to immediate use in your new home, including:
• Interior design or decorating services. A designer can help you plan everything from designing every room to selecting and placing accessories, textiles and furniture. If you need a recommendation, I can refer you to Joseph Rice, an exceptionally good designer who is on the list of recommended sources at Luminarie. He can introduce you to the Merchandise Mart, a seemingly endless resource for home everything in home design that is only accessible with an interior tradesperson.
• Paint colors. Taking on a painting project, whether it’s one room or a whole house, is far easier to do before you’ve occupied your new home. A little extra cash could ensure this is easy to fit in between the sale closing and the day you move in.
• Window treatments. Killer views through floor-to-ceiling windows can also mean an immediate need for drapes, curtains or shades to block a blaring sun or maintain privacy.
